After talking with my friend Bob at work today about the glories of old videogames, the Apple II and Olympic Decathlon (the only Microsoft product I've ever unequivocally loved), I feel compelled to share with geek and non-geek alike the glory that is this Quicktime movie. If you're an Apple II fan who has a Mac, I highly recommend downloading Catakig. It has full graphics and sound support, so you can play all those old favorites like Space Eggs, Sneakers, and Wizardry. One of the most amusing things to me (as someone who never paid for an Apple II game, ever) is that when you download the disk images from the various mirrors that still have them, the images are invariably the cracked versions, right down to the funky DOS replacements and "[MR KRAC-MAN]" sign on the bottom.
