Well, here it is. After a couple of weeks, I think I finally got it done. This is a new, more tranquil WanderingMind—although I have to admit it's more of a wish than a reality at the moment. There's been a lot going on behind the scenes, but most of it is personal and involves more people than it would be appropriate to share here (and probably boring for anyone not directly involved anyway). So, what's left is more ordinary.

Had a lovely visit with my friend Whitney this weekend. Got to catch up on the last year & a half since we'd seen each other, and gallivant all over the ferry and back. I don't have too many friends that go back as far as she does, and only a couple that go farther. It's good to know that the threads of friendship can be picked up again, even after long fallow periods.
