Getting lost
Well, almost time for a little vacation. The Deb is coming up to visit! And how is the Pacific Northwest cooperating with my efforts to charm her into moving up here? With the first big rain of the entire winter, of course. Oh, it's trying a little today, sun peeking out through the clouds, but my hopes aren't high. Two days ago it went from pouring rain to snow to sunshine in about 15 minutes—one of the oddest displays of weather I've ever seen. Still, it's beautiful up here even when overcast; I guess I'll just have to turn up my personal charm level accordingly…
I did find a reason to go to Seattle last weekend, as predicted: Great Harvest Bread Company. If you have one of these near you, get thee hence! It is excellent bread, made with fresh milled flour, and they'll give you a thick slice with butter to much on while you're waiting in line. I would go every week if it wasn't quite so far and I wasn't trying to be a little less carbo-heavy in my diet. I also had the pleasure of running into Lee and Tanya on the ferry home, and got to wander around the city just looking at random neighborhoods. Sometimes it's fun to get lost.
