No words today. I wish there was something sensible to say, something meaningful, but like everyone else I've been sitting here working with my mouth agape and a saddened heart, listening to the news. I'm sick and therefore ineligible, but please, if you're healthy go and give blood. I'm holding my loved ones close physically and virtually and I'm sure you are too.

It's been very strange here, watching all the sudden military activity. I live near 3 naval bases, so security is tight and there's a 25-mile no-fly zone around my house, essentially. So far today, I've seen several patrol boats out on the canal, one large fighting ship (a little smaller than a destroyer), and a sub going out to sea. I have a feeling I'll see more of the same as the week goes on.
