WanderingMind: The Banner

Back in Black…

OK, so I was gone awhile. But I've found lately that too much of my life is slipping away to work, and while I totally understand and accept that I'm working for The Man, it doesn't mean that work gets the entire 100% of my brain share. So, with encouragement from my new bud Angel, Wanderingmind.org is back online.

Given the huge gap, I'm not even going to pretend to bother catching up at this point—there's just too much. So I'll start with where things are now. This last weekend was a big turning point, I think; I am finally making the big leap from reading and thinking about spiritual practice to actually starting one. For reals. This is a direct result of going to Noah Levine's workshop at CIIS, which gave me some practice practicing, a practical framework, and a temporary yet wonderful community. (See Angel, above. Or better yet, check out her site.) More about this in a bit…gotta pace myself here after so much time off.

YAY! You're up & blogging again :-) Glad my encouragement paid off.

The workshop was AWESOME & I was sad to have it come to an end so soon, but what was packed into 2 days was enough to get the ball rolling for me too. I'm hoping that the temporary community that we had this past weekend will not be all that temporary.

So glad I met ya Carol...and very glad to see your blog back to life again...stay in the now :-)

Angel

yo Carol! don't be workin' so hard & go take a break & check out the pics I posted.

hope you're doing well & getting precious moments to do some sitting/walking meditation...nothing to do, nowhere to go, no one to be :-)

So glad to see your site up and going again!!! And thank you, Angel, for encouraging Carol to take time for herself. Herself is wonderful!
