Well folks (all 3 of you), the summer of no daylight has finally come to an end. If you want to see what I've been up to, take a look. The site (or at least parts of it) have been redesigned for the first time in 4 years, and it looks great! So many little bits of text, and links, and different things for different countries…and yet somehow it all finally came together and now I have some small bit of my life back. Very nice.

I celebrated with the most decadent dinner ever at La Fondue, which more than lived up to its reputation. The place is decorated like some kind of marvelously eclectic palace, the food was excellent (and lots of it), and the company of two of my fellow manager-types equally so. It was a tribute to at least two of the deadly sins by the time we walked out three hours later, laughing like a bunch of happy idiots…definitely a night well spent.

Followed, unsurprisingly, by a long morning of sleeping off my food coma. For the first time in what seems like years, I did almost nothing yesterday—just laid around and read, watched a movie, talked to my sweetie (who's outta town), and generally kicked it. Today was a bit more of the same, plus some chores and a few hours at work. Oh, and lots of sleep. Truly an R&R kinda thang, which is nice—the last few weekends have been a bit hectic, trying to catch up on all of the things that fall by the wayside when you're working 65 hours a week.
