This day looks a lot gloomier than it actually was— the photo was taken on that rarest of occasions, a sunny weekend afternoon at Land’s End in SF. It fits the photo, though. It was heavy, yet hopeful, to go from this memorial to the Peace memorial nearby.

At the end of our Solstice celebration, one of the farm’s former interns did a brief fire dance (or poi) performance that was really stunning. Poi is one of those many things on my list of things to learn how to do some day. Video coming soon— I managed to capture about a minute with my camera in spite of the light.
A test of my new Flickr functionality. I had planned originally to set up a separate blog for photos, called WanderingEye, and I might do that someday, but for right now this is much, much simpler. And since I’m completely addicted to Flickr, a great timesaver as well.
